Mad Max: Fury Road: Pedal Commander Style

Welcome to Mad Max: Fury Road. It is another caricature of the original plan, Pedal Commander style.

As you close your eyes and picture yourself as Max Rockatansky, the Road Warrior, you wake up to the engine's roar. What’s more, you are racing through the Wasteland, the world where gasoline is more valuable than any other resource, and anyone with a car and an insatiable desire for the Americas’ mythic frontier is a king. But what if I told you that Max’s secret weapon was not just his iconic black-on-black Interceptor? What if it was a Pedal Commander? Let’s break it down:

    The Wasteland Awaits

You, Mad Max, are behind your car's steering wheel (which, let’s be honest, is probably a Ford Raptor with raised suspension or a Jeep Gladiator toughened up for the apocalypse). The barren wasteland is laid out in front of you, and the crazed followers of Immortan Joe, the War Boys, are close behind. They’re in souped-up, flame-throwing hot rods that look like a monster truck that had an unfortunate encounter with a blender with some scrap metal and nitrous oxide.

You hit the accelerator, and it still doesn’t provide that extra “oomph” to escape their vintage V8s, shaking the bones. With Pedal Commander, you get the full force of your engine and unleash the power of a Furr Road Wasteland monster on the road. You turn it on, and with a finger tap, you engage Sport+ Mode. Suddenly, your gas pedal becomes responsive.

Gone like the Wasteland before civilization disappeared and crumbled to the ground. The wheels turn, the dust flies, and you are already 100 yards ahead. Take that, Immortan Joe!

    War Rig or Bust

As you drive through the post-apocalyptic wasteland of the game, you encounter Furiosa and her War Rig. Isn't it a huge truck that can crush everything on its way? Wrong. Sometimes, even a War Rig could need an extra boost in acceleration, though. Furiosa spots the Pedal Commander, eyes sparkling, and says, “This…This is what I’ve been lacking.”

With the Pedal Commander set to City Mode, she can drive through the narrow streets of the Citadel without the War Rig feeling like it is struggling to overtake a group of buffalo. The control is accurate; Furiosa can dance like a ballerina and drive a truck with 50 tons of water and flamethrowers across the desert.

At the same time, Max, back in his rig, realizes that he needs something even louder—Eco Mode. Yes, you heard that right. Well, you got it right; it is possible to get moving once you decide. While the rest of the population is happily burning fuel as if there is no tomorrow (which, literally, there might not be), Max is the only one planning ahead in the Wasteland. His fuel efficiency increases, and as Immortan Joe’s vehicles run on fumes, Max is driving while taking sips from whatever is left in his tank and waving at them as he overtakes them.

    The Ultimate Showdown

The showdown between Max, Furiosa, and Immortan Joe is the movie's high point. The War Boys are coming at them with weapons shining and bikes rumbling, and that doof warrior with the flame-throwing guitar is playing like he has nothing to live for (which is probably true). Max hits the Pedal Commander one more time to switch it to Sport+ Mode because if there was ever a time to go full throttle, it’s now.

The War Boys don't stand a chance. As they struggle with their old gas pedals, which gives them the impression that they are swimming through treacle, Max’s car moves forward as if a cheetah spirit is chasing a gazelle. Every inch of throttle is pure, unfiltered power. He jumps over spikes, runs back and forth between walls, and contorts himself to avoid a few very threatening bursts of fire.

On the other hand, Furiosa, cool-headed as a man who practices Zen, manages City Mode to steer the War Rig through hell with precision—looking for ways to thread a needle with 18 wheels? No problem. That must be the easiest thing ever to do! Oh, wait, she has a Pedal Commander.

    Victory in the Wasteland

After the dust has settled and Immortan Joe’s reign of tyranny has come to a fiery end, Max and Furiosa take a breath.  They stand on the Citadel, look over their newly acquired paradise, and give each other a wink. For that, they would not have been able to accomplish it without their intelligence, determination, and, of course., the Pedal Commander.

Why Your Daily Drive Isn’t Exactly Like Mad Max with Pedal Commander

Alright, so your daily drive to work does not involve fiery-throwing trucks or a desperate need for fuel-crazed bad boys. However, it seems this close sometimes, especially if one has attempted to merge during the Monday morning traffic hustle. The Pedal Commander may not assist you in repelling War Boys, but it will accelerate your throttle response in handling the car during regular driving.

Need some action in your life? Throw it in Sport+ Mode and feel like you’re speeding through the Wasteland, even if you’re just on the way to pick up groceries. Are you planning a long drive? With Eco Mode, you will likely push your tank to its ultimate capacity. It is worth knowing that when it comes to difficult parking lot turns, City Mode has the best solution.

In a world where speed, torque, and dust storms that make your windshield wipers scream for mercy are the only things that matter, one performance upgrade stands above all others: the Pedal Commander.

Well, go on, indulge yourself. Make your ride look like it is right out of the next Mad Max movie with a single push on Pedal Commander. However, we are all Road Warriors in one way or another, are we not?

For when the road is its own ‘Mad Max: Fury Road.’, Pedal Commander. Get yours now!
