WHAT IS THROTTLE LAG?

When you first press down on the accelerator, there is a delay before anything actually happens. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) systems cause this as they take the signal from the accelerator pedal when you press it and send it to your Ford F450 ECU. The basic steps of the Pedal Commander® installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander® harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander®.

Wow, immediate response, I'm worried about using the Sport plus mode, it might rip my tires apart. I actually wanted the ECO mode during towing my 44' RV, for the fuel economy. Used it, on and off for 2 weeks, has already increased my mileage by 1. City mode is very reactive, coming off lights, or passing vehicles at highway speeds, response is immediate. Very happy with this upgrade, would recommend it to everyone who feels the manufacturers acceleration lag... totally gone.

What a difference in throttle response. Even on the eco 2 setting, the throttle respond much quicker than stock. The setting for City 2 is plenty for freeway driving to get going quicker.

2011 F450 i purchased Pedal commander and installed it in 5 minutes. i drove to Starbucks and cycled through the different levels City is best for everyday driving, Sport and Sport + is insane i dont know how anyone could possibly drive with it on you will kill yourself... but it does work...a few days later i was at a red light and wanted to try ECO mode so with my foot on the brakes i held mode button down and it switched to Ecomode as i had done with the other modes. the light turned green and i hit the gas pedal the truck basically felt like it was just rolling with zero power i thought i had broke something. i put on my hazard lights and released my foot of the brakes and switched the Pedal commander back to city drive and viola! it worked again... not sure what the deal was in eco mode but if it basically a slow roll that could be more dangerous than sport mode... ive had it for over a week and still working storng.

Everything from ordering and delivery to installation and usage was a breeze. This is my second pedal commander. It was delivered in 2 days. The 21 F150s are pretty responsive, but I was able to use the PC in city mode to dial the throttle sensitivity in perfectly. Oddly enough, I also got my best MPG to date AFTER installing the PC. I've never had an issue with these and they've made my driving experience so much more enjoyable.

I was somewhat skeptical to begin with. My truck has upgraded intake, headers, exhaust system and a tune... I figured I had spent so much already I may as well give the pedal commander a try. I can't stress enough how fantastic this thing is. It takes factory pedal positions and hits them with a magical ball of insanity. I handed the keys over to my buddy who has a drift team. Even he was blown away. He said it give you such instant control of the throttle with no lag. He is going to order commanders for his 2 bmw drift cars now. Great way to boost your stock ride without having to do much else. (Even though I had already tubed and upgraded everything else.)

Having done most of the other usual aftermarket mods I was told about Pedal Commander by my local speed shop (Nici Auto Brentwood, NH) and ordered one. 2019 F-150 5.0L Llifyed on 35's, 90mm BBK, S&B CAI, 5 Star Tune 91 performace. - Its pretty kool. Definitely opens up the throttle. When I out in sport+ mode, combined with my Sport mode on thee truck itself, lookout. Very light on the pedal and ur going full throttle. I kept up (didnt pass) with a 2009 BMW 645 from a light at 5000ft elevation. Good product.
