What If Movie Car Chases Had a Pedal Commander Boost?

The fun, speed, and excitement are what we tend to remember whenever we think of movie car chases. But just try to think how these famous car pursuits could be spiced up if they were shot today. Yes, yes, we are talking about the Pedal Commander. Those quicker accelerations, tight turns, and split-second decisions could have been even sharper, faster, and more precise. So, let’s kick back and picture how some iconic movie car chases could have looked had the drivers had Pedal Commander installed in their vehicles. Get ready, folks; this is going to be a wild ride.
1. Bullitt (1968): The Chase Through San Francisco
The chase scene where Steve McQueen’s 1968 Ford Mustang GT takes on a Dodge Charger with the backdrop of San Francisco hills is one of the most iconic in the history of car movies. But come on—those tremendously big mountains and, let alone, those unpredictable jumps could challenge any throttle response.
And now, what if a Pedal Commander were in McQueen’s Mustang today? Toss away those instances where the car seems to stall before taking off over a hill. With Pedal Commander’s Sport+ mode, McQueen would have fired up the throttle response and flew off the San Fran hills. Perhaps the Charger’s occupants would have had no luck as McQueen drifted the car through turns despite the narrow roads, and the gears shifted with the best timing. So the chase might have ended slightly earlier, leaving McQueen several more minutes to sip a cup of coffee at one of those charming diners.
2. The Italian Job (2003): Mini Coopers Through Turin
The more recent The Italian Job of 2003 is full of spectacular driving thrills as the three Mini Coopers take to the streets of Turin. But picture this: the Minis, equipped with Pedal Commander, speeding around the tunnel and the tight streets.
Charlie Croker (Mark Wahlberg) and his crew wouldn’t need to worry about timing those maneuvers to the millisecond—the Pedal Commander would’ve already done it for them! They even switched between Eco mode to sneak up on their unsuspecting targets and City mode when they required more juice to leg it from a sticky situation; Sport mode enabled them to pull off the heist half as fast, twice as stylishly.
3. Fast & Furious 7 (2015): Abu Dhabi Skyscraper Jump
When Dom and Brian, played by Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, respectively, decided to launch their Lykan HyperSport from one Abu Dhabi skyscraper to another, our collective jaws hit the floor. The pure guts that would have to be behind that move are enough to make any gearhead drip with cold sweats. What if Dom had a little extra help from Pedal Commander?
With Sport+ mode on, Lykan would have jumped off the building faster than a cheetah with extra speed. Whether the car was powerful enough to jump over would no longer be asked. The timing would have been perfect, the accuracy perfect, and the gas pedal control perfect. And indeed, they could have slid upon landing. Why wouldn't they? Even car tricks in the air become an act of everyday driving with the accuracy in Pedal Commander!
4. Mad Max: Fury Road (2015): The War Rig Chase
Furiosa's War Rig is an impressive beast, but one does have to admit the shortcomings of a truck when being chased down by war boys in their souped-up junkers. What if there is a way around it? Here is Pedal Commander.
With a Pedal Commander fitted in the War Rig, Furiosa would no longer fear such sluggish takeoffs. She could drive smoothly through the treacherous badlands in city mode and turn it into an unstoppable juggernaut in Sport+ mode when there is a high-speed battle in the desert. It would not require all brutes; Furiosa would be darting around like the fastest car of the apocalypse and leave Immortan Joe's henchmen chocking on the sand in the rearview mirror.
5. The Dark Knight (2008): The Batpod Escape
Who could ever forget that adrenaline-draining scene where Batman swoops through Gotham on the Batpod, masterfully dodging semi-trucks and flipping cars as if they were a bunch of Hot Wheels? But for a Batpod already operating on a high plane of technology, a Pedal Commander would place Batman more in control of city streets.
Sport mode would have made the throttle response on the Batpod as sharp as Batman's detective acumen, and he should effortlessly leave the Joker's men far behind. Heck yeah, he might even have time for a quick snack stop at Gotham's finest food truck before reengaging in the chase. After all, even the Dark Knight deserves a break, right?
6. Gone in 60 Seconds (2000): The Eleanor Chase
Ah, Gone in 60 Seconds—got to steal 50 cars in one night. Then, of course, comes the final challenge, which is getting away in that sweet 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500, Eleanor. That chase by the cops was something else, man, if only they had Pedal Commander.
Memphis Raines (played by Nicolas Cage) could've selected Sport mode and unleashed all of Eleanor's fury, blowing past those cops and avoiding those fingernail-biting close calls. By switching to Eco Mode again for fun, Memphis could have avoided wasting precious fuel while lying low. With any luck, maybe with Pedal Commander, Memphis wouldn't have had to worry about damaging poor Eleanor. She might've escaped the night without a scratch!
These car chases have already gone down in movie history, but with Pedal Commander added, they get much better. Extra power, precision, and throttle control would make each exciting scene an actual work of art in speed and skill. Who knows, maybe the next big car chase movie will have Pedal Commander as the hero driving the car!
