The basic steps of the Pedal Commander® installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander® harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander®.

Always hear bad reviews about them, and how they mess up your vehicle. Decided to try it out on my 2018 Dodge Journey Crossroad. I can say every setting is exactly as described eco mode Definitely keeps you from accelerating like you usually would from a full stop and will Definitely keep you from burning through your fuel. City, sport, sport + or whatever the third one is is crazy with the reaction time. I tried each one on each setting 1-4 they do make a difference. I am always hauling stuff and my vehicle would sometimes take a sec to actually initiate acceleration. But with this I will have no trouble going up a bridge or small slope granted I'll use more fuel but better than losing 5mph going up hill. I have a v6 and it kicks way harder than my v8 in my silverado. Well worth the price.

So the pedal commander woke up the mom car she is a rocking and a rollin I put it on the sport+ (+4) just playing around and she was zooming through Dallas traffic ( was definitely needed lol) and still got great gas mileage drove over on a tank of gas and most of my stay b4 I had to fill up. filled up in farmerville la drove to grand praire rode around, on day Sunday finally fueled up again.

It is not even the same car anymore once you put this in your vehicle. I have a 2013 Dodge Journey R/T Rallye and it feels like a sports car now. It definitely gives it a kick/boost off the starting line, you can really feel the difference.I like the fact that it has several different levels of performance settings. Mainly because if you drive on the Sport+ with 4+ on the setting your fuel consumption will really fall (as per my tests). If you drive to and from work, I recommend use the default City setting. The ECO setting doesn't have enough power. When tested, I floored it and the car barely moved so I would say its not really safe on that setting.City setting is my default and Sport+ +4 is my fun moments.If you have a Dodge Journey, give it a shot; for me it was worth it and the results were pretty impressive.

The pedal commander pc29 was pretty easy to install on the 2017 dodge journey sxt 3.6 v6. The hardest part was unplugging the plug from the top of the gas pedal. The rest of the install was nice and easy. The throttle response is much better than before. I really feel the power difference in sport mode +1. I can still adjust it to a much higher sensitivity. My wife noticed the difference too and no more lag time when hitting the gas pedal. I have only a couple days testing and it works great so far.
