The basic steps of the Pedal Commander installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander.

This is a great little "mod" to the BRZ (if I can call it that). It does exactly what's advertised; sharpens your throttle response. It's quite granular too. I don't recommend Eco or Sport+ modes, because the first one would dull the throttle response even more than factory, and the second one is way too sensitive. It's basically an on/off switch. City mode mode doesn't feel much different from stock to me. But the Sport sitting is perfect. Especially from the BRZ's stock tuning. It's noticeable how little delay there is between me pressing gas and the car going. That being said, I don't think it feels "cable like" like what some people have suggested. The throttle response is much sharper, but I don't think this hides the fact that your car is drive-by-wire.

Best upgrade I have done so far to my new 2023 Subaru Brz. It has removed all lag and lack of pedal sensitivity! Now when you press the accelerator pedal, you get the instantaneous throttle response you expect. First use today. Maybe 20 miles. In town I used city base and was quite happy with base vs higher settings. Out of town I tried sport ( I usually have the car in “sport” mode when I drive). I ended up at sport level 4…it just seemed better. In addition, the quicker throttle response means the car shifts more quickly once above about 15 mph…I like it. Can’t wait to get a free day and do some canyon carving…sport plus awaits! All in all I very much feel the product works and adds fun to my BRZ. As an aside…it would be interesting to see if there is a difference in 1/4 mile and lap times to see if it really matters…I suspect we all develop and adapt to wherever our foot is planted. I miss my 600hp street rod…but love the BRZ for all that it is…besides, it doesn’t try to turn itself, or me, inside out every time I hit the loud pedal! Wildman

I have a 2022 BRZ and I really like the car, but the throttle delay was a little disappointing. I didn't realize just how bad it was until trying the Pedal Commander. The car is so much more fun to drive now. I've had cars tuned in the past and what I didn't realize is that what I probably enjoyed the most out of the tune was the better pedal response. I thought that these things were just a gimmick and that I would be sending it back. It is not.

There a lot of people who hate on this, but 99% of those people have never used it. They claim that it does nothing and there are no benefits. I guarantee they are wrong. This is great. Obviously it's not going to be as good as a full tune, forced induction, etc, but that's not the purpose of it. Highly recommended!

Honestly you guys, I absolutely love this product. I took a trip up to Big Sur. I would like to first off start by saying I have never in my life ever had a $300 purchase do so much....ever period. I actually think that the BRZ is a car that can totally exemplify what this amplifier can do because the the BRZ is already down on torque first gear is no fun and I have a flat four that can totally take more immediate gas and loves to rev hi. Every single tier in this setting is fun I don't know if I'll ever use Eco because I always want to have fun but the torque that I get in fifth gear at like 56,000 RPM at like 82 mph pushing me into the back of my seat is something this car simply did not do. I am a huge fan of your product and find myself walking up to strangers with sports cars and talking their ears off about buying it. I first tried to buy sprint booster and it was a nightmare dealing with their shipping in their office they told me a product they didn't even have in the country so I got a refund from those assholes and went to you guys and it was 100% professionalism on your part I had it overnighted you guys help send it out that day and it completely changed my car.. I will now and forever hate fly by wire when it is not helped with pedal Commander.
