The basic steps of the Pedal Commander installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander.

I added a pedal commander to a 2018 Toyota RAV4 that always hesitated when you stepped on the gas. It always seemed unsafe to me - the times when you needed the acceleration the most was the times when you had the most hesitation when you stepped on the gas. I had trouble removing the connection from the pedal. My mechanic would not do it and I ended up having my brother put the Pedal Commander on for me. I was relieved to see that he had some trouble removing the pedal connection to put the Pedal Commander on, so it wasn't just me - even though everyone says that it is easy to remove the connection. I started with the Pedal Commander in City mode with a setting of 0 and the hesitation was gone. I didn't notice much difference in performance when I increased the setting to 1 or 2. I did my initial tests just driving around the neighborhood. When I put the Pedal Commander in Sport Mode, 0; the pedal seemed a bit too touchy so I put it back in City mode. I left it in City Mode, 0 and drove about an hour on the highway and was not happy with the acceleration I was getting when I was at 70-75 mph and wanted to pass someone. I was comparing the performance to what I was used to getting in my Mercedes C240 with a turbo. I changed the setting to Sport, 0 and I was happy with my performance. It wasn't the level that I got with my Mercedes but it was definitely more than I was getting before putting on the Pedal Commander and better than in City Mode. I am going to leave the Pedal Commander in Sport Mode and assume I will get used to the feel of the car around town. If I think it stays too touchy, or my gas mileage goes down too much, I will put it back in City mode around town. I am extremely happy with the Pedal Commander. I wish I had it when we bought the car six years ago. It would be even better if the bureaucrats would leave the performance of our cars alone.

Have a 2005 Toyota Camry with the 3.0 V6 (1mzfe engine). Stock throttle always left me wanting a different car cause it had no pep.Install took about 5 minutes and it workes right out of the box.City mode isnt that big of a difference but sport and sport plus mode are a blast. Feels like a different car and it lets the engine rev to 5k when it shifts rather than 3k without it.Its not going to make your minivan a rally car but it gets rid of all the lag in the throttle and really makes the car much more responsiveIs it worth 300? Id imagine it costs like 25 to make at most, so a price tag under 200 would make more sense. I got mine for 125 used and its worth every penny
