    Modern vehicles use drive-by-wire throttle systems, meaning the ECU controls how fast and how much the throttle valve opens. Manufacturers program these systems with a built-in delay —that frustrating lag when you hit the gas pedal. Pressing the pedal harder won’t make your vehicle respond faster, no matter how fast you press the pedal.

    Pedal Commander® Basic Install Steps

    Installing the Pedal Commander® throttle response controller has three basic steps:

    IMPORTANT: Keep the key fob at least 35 ft away to make sure your vehicle is fully powered off. Also make sure you hear an audible "click" when plugging in the Pedal Commander® harness. These two guarantee a problem-free operation of the unit.

    Step 1: 

    Power off the vehicle and keep the keyfob away.

    Step 2:

    Disconnect the factory harness and plug in the Pedal Commander® harness.

    Step 3:

    Secure the cables, mount the controller unit, and download the free Pedal Commander® app to unlock more features.
